IFFR presents: The Hunter and the Skeleton

A colourful version of an Eastern Tibetan folk tale in a wonderful combination of flash with thangka (traditional Tibetan paintings with embroidery) and a score that combines native Tibetan music with modern influences. A hunter on his way up into the mountains, meets a fearsome skeleton monster: are they friends or enemies? Gentsu Gyatso (Tibet, 1979) . Bai Bin, earned a Master’s degree in painting. He studied at Kassel Academy of Art as an exchange student. In 2003, he travelled through Tibet to study traditional Tibetan architecture and Tibetan Buddhist wall paintings. As a teacher, he is researching on how to combine visual art with Tibetan traditional art. The Hunter and the Skeleton is part of IFFR presents, a weekly series of short films.
