80,000 worshippers performed Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque despite Israeli restrictions

Despite the Israeli restrictions on the ability of Palestinians to perform prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem during the holy month of Ramadan, the Department of the Islamic Waqf announced that 80,000 worshippers performed Friday prayers at the holy site. Israeli security forces blocked medical teams from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque and reportedly attacked some of the paramedics. Hundreds of Palestinians were also reportedly barred from reaching the area under the pretext of not obtaining the required permits.
