WINNIPEG -- Artem Tschoubarov’s second goal of the game at 5:13 of overtime gave Russia a thrilling 3-2 win over Canada on Tuesday in the gold medal game of the World Junior Championships. Tschoubarov sent a lightning snap shot from the left faceoff circle past the glove hand of Canadian goalie Roberto Luongo to bring a sudden end to the match. Maxim Balmotchnykh scored Russia’s other goal. Bryan Allen and Simon Gagne tallied for Canada.
