Neuroradiology board review. This lecture is geared towards the ABR core exam for residents, but it would be useful for review for the ABR certifying exam or certificate of added qualification (CAQ) exam for neuroradiology. This case shows a CT with hyperdense blood tracking in the left basal ganglia and thalamus. Although the patient is relatively young, the location is strongly suspicious for hypertensive hemorrhage. Further evaluation for underlying causes, such as a vascular malformation or tumor, is w
