08-06-2024 Wampee, SC - Car Drives Right Past a Weak Tornado Hiding in Heavy Rain

***NOT FOR BROADCAST*** Contact Brett Adair with Live Storms Media to license. brett@ A weak couplet was shown on radar at the time a rain wrapped tornado briefly condensed to the ground near Wampee. Wampee is located just west of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This rotation was heavily wrapped in rain, so the car may have never seen the brief condensation on the ground and the leaves and small tree branches that were lofted into the air. The rest of the video package shows lowering’s in the storm base along with a weakly organized gust front that extended east of the area of interest.
