Paul Orndorff vs. Chick Donovan (match 3 of 3)/Orndorff on Brooks and challengers. WCW, March 1983

In one of his last matches in Georgia Studios before leaving the territory for Japan and then to the WWF, National Heavyweight Champion Paul Orndorff faces Chick Donovan. Bob Roop joins Gordon Solie on commentary and talks about Dick Murdoch and the $25,000 offered by Zbyszko to Killer Brooks. After the match, Orndorff speaks with Solie about defending his title anywhere against anybody, noting his title defense against Killer Brooks the following night (March 20th) at the Omni. If Orndorff had stuck around, it seems a possible angle was being developed between him and Roop. Orndorff passed away July 12th, 2021 aged 71. WCW, March 1983.
