Pietenpol Air Camper “Kajsa“ and Per Widing. First video footage!

Great pleasure to finally present the first air-to-air video with KAJSA and owner/builder/pilot Per Widing. I asked Per to write something about his project: This project is inspired by “Gliding and Flying Manual 1932“. I started building in 2000. My limited budget has been to my advantage when I have had to learn to do everything myself. It’s been great because I never had any timetable for when the aircraft will be ready. I have made all the parts myself out some instruments and components of the engine. Registration “SE-ACW“ is from 1930, but was never used. Normally, all the X-rated homebuilds today have X in their registration. An exception was made for me and 2010 reserved Swedish Transport Agency registration “SE-ACW“ for my project. The name “Kajsa“ is an old Swedish female name. My Kajsa was originally a Kaja (a Jackdaw) who my mum and her brothers raised up when they were children.
