The Royal Family’s Ties to the Army Air Corps

His Majesty The King has passed on his role as Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps to his son, Prince William. The official handover took place at the Army Aviation Centre. The role was held by Charles, as Prince of Wales, for 31 years. Prince William served as a search and rescue pilot and later as an air ambulance pilot. In 2008, he was awarded his pilot’s wings by his father, with a young Kate Middleton watching on. Then in 2010, William graduated as a helicopter pilot at RAF Shawbury. #kingcharlesnewsupdate #royalfamily #princewilliam Follow us for more royal news, history, and highlights: ♛ Subscribe to our YouTube channel (tap the bell icon and stay up to date with all the latest Royal videos!) - ♛ Find us on TikTok @royalfamilychannel ♛ Follow us on Facebook - ♛ Tweet with us! -
