24-TET, in a more orchestral arrangement. Main parts are OB-6 & Matrixbrute (tuned for 24-TET i.e two recordings, one a quarter tone higher, with the appropriate pitches chosen from both/turned into a composite recording). Harmonically, Agarscasthia is dense. The changes do not adhere to ’standard’ usage of 24-TET (i.e using the scale to yield purer 7ths etc), but rather, the system is utilised as the basis for a new harmonic language. Certain chords/changes may sound, upon first listen, very, very odd (possibly comparable to tasting a new flavour, or seeing a new colour).
As with previous 24-TET works I’ve posted, this piece is also tetradecatonic.
The score for this one is large - too large to show as a single system. Both parts per screen (i.e left & right) are playing simultaneously; the RH part is the lower part of the score from the original (in other words, everything should be read for the time it is shown during).
All best
