Evan Taucher - “Three Scents“

Evan Taucher plays his own composition “Three Scents“ Three Scents is a composition by Evan Taucher that briefly evokes the styles of several composers while associating these with memories, which are inevitably stored within scents. The first piece is a prelude, the second an homage to the Cuban composer Leo Brouwer, and the third is with influence from Agustin Barrios, dedicated to Veronica Eres. These three selections are part of a larger work, encapsulating various styles, scents, and therefor memories. Scents are often fleeting, even more-so for the composer who for the better part of his life, has lacked a sense of smell aside from brief moments. The sheet music will be available at Recorded live in Carlos Juan Busquiel’s workshop.
