Błażej Sudnikowicz - Vale et me ama

I am very happy to present you full-length video for my song ’Vale et me ama’. ’Vale et me ama’ is an old Latin form of ending a letter and it means ’love me and wish me well’. I was looking for a special sound for this song and fell in love with the idea of mixing the sound of old instruments with modern production. Therefore I recorded this song on guitar with gut strings and collaborated with the amazing Equilibrium String Quartet that specializes in playing period instruments. We recorded it in Studio S2 Polish Radio with great Fryderyk HD, I also asked Piotr Wieczorek to give it a special touch with his mixing. The video was made by my brother Jędrzej, we wanted an intimate atmosphere suiting the song, so we decided to film it in my home in Katowice. ’Vale et me ama’ is part of the music project MIASTA, which is inspired by Polish folk music and urban culture.
