Cécile Chaminade - Caprice-impromptu,

Here is more Chaminade! Her works should be more known. This piece was composed 1914. So I worked on this for quite some time now, and this is the level I could achieve after “reasonable“ studying this piece. In my opinion it definitely approaches Chopin Etude difficulty, of course not the really difficult ones, but... at the right tempo, you will notice some issues with fingering etc., although it is written very pianistically (as always with Chaminade). Personally I liked the metric modulation (so to speak) in the middle section, where she explicitly writes, the groove goes on as it was, but we have a 3 over 2 situation now. There are some wild passages, but also beautiful lyrical moments. Very effective composition, shows her skill as composer well :)
