BJD Faceup: Alternative sealants, airbrushing, and respiratory protection (feat. Loongsoul Nuannuan)

Another February weekend, another faceup in progress. This time it’s Loongsoul Nuannuan, who has some ear mods and will be getting a primarily pink faceup. While the faceup is going on, I’ll be sharing some information about alternatives to aerosol sealants like Mr. Super Clear--focusing in particular on Vallejo matte varnish, because it’s the best of the alternatives I’ve tried thus far and works well enough that I’d be happy to use it exclusively from now on. I’ll explain how I prepare it for spraying, what airbrush I use, how I apply the sealant, and what kind of respiratory protection is needed when using sealants, including non-toxic sealants like this one and solvent-based or aerosol sealants that need something a little more robust.
