Bhama Kalapam is a traditional opera written by the Father of Kuchipudi himself, Sri Siddhendra Yogi. Bhama Praveshadaruvu, a salient aspect of the Kalapam, is where the dancer enters as the character and introduces herself to the audience.
Other parts of the Kalapam include Bhama explaining her love lorn state, she writing a letter to her Lord, Rajagopala, and sending the letter to Him through her friend.
