Merp, I’ve been really into Taiwan dramas lately! So this video is a little confusing because the two love interest is the same person except one is dead. HUH? I think it’s best to read my little synopsis to understand. Terry and LiangYan were the perfect couple. Terry was a general manager and LiangYan was a design manger, they both have successful careers and luxurious lifestyles. LiangYan is the daughter of the CEO that Terry works for. They were about to get married but an accident occurred while LiangYan and Terry went hiking causing LiangYan to be severely injured. Terry out of pressure from his career and parents had to cover up the fact that LiangYan is hurt. If LiangYan’s dad were to find out that Terry caused his precious daughter to be hurt then he would hand over the general manager position over to Terry’s cousin. Terry met a girl name DaHua who looks similar to LiangYan with the exception of the protruding teeth and a huge mole. Terry offers her money to settle her family debt but she has to get plastic surgery and take LiangYan’s place for a year while she recuperates in the hospital. LiangYan’s condition becomes worst over time and she eventually died. Terry finds himself falling for DaHua but DaHua has a childhood sweetheart she loves. Can Terry win her over? Substitute Princess was a “little less than okay“ drama. The ending was total BULLSH*T. I think the drama was originally suppose to be 25 episodes but they cut it down to 21 so nothing seems like it ended the right way. I read the comments for the last episode and everyone was so angry! Lol, it was clear in the most UNCLEAR way who she ended up with. The whole drama was unpredictable. From episode 1 all the way to 21, you’ll never be able to figure out who she ends up with until the last ten minutes. I was struggling the whole time to figure out who she’ll end up. It’s very typical for the main character to fall for the rich guy and she had actions & thoughts that hinted she has growing feelings for him but in the whole drama she made it very clear she likes the other guy more.. so it was frustrating not knowing who ends up together. And they made the role of the antagonist in this drama very obvious, but the antagonist didn’t even do anything “evil“ all 21 episodes.. I don’t even see the point of them being there. This drama just pisses me off because it’s not well planned! I swear, Clarisonic and Acer was the sponsor for this drama because the product placement was so obvious! They would even have irrelevant scenes to promote Clarisonic, lol. And there were many mistakes that was obvious. Like one time DaHua’s mole was on her right side when it should’ve been on her left. What kind of makeup artist can make such a big mistake?! Sorry, I am ranting on about my passionate irritation for this drama.
