Bears in the water at Lake Tahoe

The record-breaking weekend heat in the west drove a family of bears to seek relief in the cool waters of South Lake Tahoe over the weekend. This video captured by Heather Blummer shows the mama and her cubs wading into the waters Sunday as beachgoers looked on. The high reached 91 degrees on July 11. Humans are always reminded to keep their distance, never feed the bears and NEVER get between a mother and her cubs.
