Alexi Machavariani - Bazaleti Lake (1958)

Throughout his career, Alexi Machavariani (1913 -1995) has always been one of the foremost Georgian composers, branching out to many compositional formats and approaches with excellence. Although piano music was far from his primary preference, he tried hand also here, resulting in some spectacular pieces, one of which found its place as an opener of Georgian Piano Music compilation released by Melodya and performed by Lali Mikava.
