Transnistrian Independence Day 2017

One of the most unique events I’ve seen traveling was the celebration of Independence Day in the unrecognized country of Transnistria! 27 years after declaring independence from the country of Moldova, the people of this Soviet relic celebrated with a show of marching, dancing, singing and basketball-dribbling.
