Leonard Henry (1929)

No titles. Comedian Leonard Henry. Probably filmed in Pathe Studio, London. On a set dressed to look like a country lane, we see Leonard Henry in white tie and tails, wearing a funny top (?) hat several sizes too small. He introduces himself and says his umbrella is called ’Nazimova’, because if it gets between a fellow’s feet it goes “and Nazimova!“. He then does a funny bit of business, making a speech as if he is opening a new football ground. He gets into a muddle, trying to quote from Shakespeare. More nonsense talk. He says “I did not intend making a speech tonight, and I feel that I have certainly succeeded.“ He then announces he will sing a song entitled ’No Matter How Fast The Fish May Swim, It Never Seems To Perspire.’ He takes off the hat, puts down the umbrella and starts to sing a jolly song about Spring and a young man’s fancy turning to love. Pan to a couple sitting and ’spooning’ on the gate - the man dressed in farmer’s smock and the girl in a pretty dress and bonnet. The
