The railways trucks go straight on to huge rafts ’lighters’ which are pulled by a tugboat to a ship in the channel. CU the ship ’Camito’. WS the tugboat and lighters. The bananas are loaded aboard. In England, the ship is unloaded by conveyer-belt. English workers loading the bananas. onto elevators CU the ships captain. Many dockside workers carrying the bananas into Fyffes insulated railway wagons. A Man in Fyffes overalls makes notes. The train pulls away. MS the bananas are hung on chains in the wholesalers warehouse to ripen. Inspectors check temperature gauges and the ripening progress and adjust the humidity in the room.
