WS A man at home reading the paper. Water drips on his face. Cut to his leaking ceiling. Cut to water gushing from his bath pipes. Cut to CU taps. MS the man uses tongs to remove coal from his fire. CU taps. MS a water tank in the loft. CU an open window which closes. CU a gap under a door as a mat is pushed up to block it. CU cracks in a brick wall, dissolve to it being filled. CU the water tank as boards are used to cover it. MS pipes under a basin being insulated. Various CU’s: stop cock, a bucket filling up with water, various taps. WS outside pipes covered in ice.
