There was a business of Hosiery goods gloves, socks and army woolen Jersey in old Purana bazar. After Independence Muslim Community left Ludhiana and refugee from Pakistan settled in city. There were a number of temples in this area. The Bhadarkali Mandir that was built by Dhanda community & गुरु जी Dandi Swami was a devotee of Maa Bhadrakali and often used to come to this temple for reverence Maa Kali. There is a famous incident known by all senior citizens who used to live around this area’s vicinity in that time. A man who was a Rickshaw puller one day cut his tongue and offered it to Maa Bhadrakali. There was blood in the premises of the mandir floor. Devotees from the city gathered in this temple and Kirtan continued day & night. As per saying after seven days there happened a miracle and one lady कन्या came and for a while all lights switched off, within a minutes Rickshaw puller started to speak the slogan of Jai Mat
