or at least he attempted to. he just landed on the ground full concert: Sunn O))) is a drone metal band that mostly experiments with heavy low tuned guitars to an incredibly low tempo with explosive rumbly riffs. they have done multiple collabs with multiple artist from different sub genre universes, but undoubtedly their best is Altar with the Japanese sludge metal band Boris; taking their name from a Melvins song off their bullhead album. Sunn O)))’s most recent stuff remains to be the same epic ambient drone that has never aged since the beginning of their 20ish year career. the two most recent studio albums: Life Metal, and Pyroclasts; were recorded and engineered by STEVE ALBIBI HIMSLEF!!!
