Original, Polish version of “Nie ja -- nie ty !“ (Neither me , nor you !), was first sung by Lena Żelichowska (1910-1958; photo in the clip !) at Warsaw “Cyganeria“ theatre, 1934. All dramatic accents presented with passion especially in the second, instrumental part of the present recording were conceived by an outstanding musician and director of the Polish Columbia orchestra at that time, Henryk Gold. Vocal refrain by a minor and completely forgotten singer, Olgierd Lech.
