Freshwater fish of Malaysia’s rainforests
Malaysia’s rainforests are incredibly diverse in freshwater fish species. Our trip to Malaysia in 2019 was mainly focused on terrestrial animals but we were fortunate enough to witness some incredible freshwater eco-systems. It was wonderful to see common ornamental species such as the Betta, Spiny Eel, Halfbeak and Borneo Sucker in their natural habitat.
Fish species in this video include:
Mahseer (Tor douronensis)
Loach (Garra borneensis)
