In this era, consumers began to favor pony cars over muscle cars, especially after 1973 when the oil crisis hit and gas prices jumped from 3 to 12 dollars in a year. The 1975 Dodge Coronet opens the film as a white model rolls down the highway (:26). Hard top, sedan and wagon versions were available (:35). A baby blue four door model is looked to (:44).
