Australia Wakes Up to Winter Wonderland

Snow blanketed parts of southeastern Australia, Saturday, August 10, as a cold front swept through, creating a winter wonderland. Residents in the New South Wales town of Orange - located about 250 kilometers west of Sydney - rollicked in the whiteout, with snowfights and snowmen becoming the order of the day. The Bureau of Meteorology warned the weather conditions were likely to continue through the weekend. (Reuters)
