In 2015 I made a video of me playing PAC-MAN™ Championship Edition DX with only signals from my brain. In 2020 I decided that I would record playing another round of it and I think I did a bit better that time. I’m building a new PC and looking forward to trying out more games in 2023!

I’m Nathan and I’m 36 years old. After a car accident in 2004, I was left paralyzed from the chest down. For the last 8 years, I’ve been part of a brain computer interface study through the University of Pittsburgh. I had surgery to implant 4 micro-electrode arrays in my brain that I can use to control a robotic arm, and receive sensation back from it. I am the first human to ever have electrodes implanted in the sensory cortex. I currently hold the record for the longest chronic implant.
