British Royal Family

The British Royal Family, the House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, originally the House of Wettin, have reigned over the UK and Commonwealth monarchies from the time of King Edward VII, son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg Gotha. His successor, King George V, changed the family name to Windsor during World War I at the height of a wave of anti-German hysteria.
