Netanyahu unconvincingly attempts, many weeks later, to claim that Israel’s failed attempt to strike Iran was actually some sort of ’success’ - but even he lacks the chutzpah to make any larger sort of ridiculous claim, which nevertheless is unusual: “There is a certain component in their nuclear program that was damaged in this attack.“ Gee, wow. I’m sure, if true, that this part is so very irreplaceable. If Israel’s attack on Iran was anything other than an abject failure, when the first sortie of air force tasked with neutralizing Iranian air-defense systems were mortified with the realization as far away as Iraq that they would be trying to evade Russian made S-400’s, it’s all you’d have been hearing about in media. Rather, the IAF saw what they were up against - officially classified as ’previously unknown Iranian anti-air assets’ - and turned tail. They went home, declared victory, and hoped no one would dig.
