South Korea launched a multipurpose science satellite today (Thursday) from a Russian site and made radio contact confirming its successful ingression into space. The Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) said its team at Norway’s Troll Satellite Station in Antarctica had picked up beacon signals from the Korea Multipurpose Satellite-3A (KOMSAT-3A) about 32 minutes after the launch in the morning.
