Music: Marie - Ted Lewis and his Band | Say It While Dancing - The Benson Orchestra of Chicago A Kick for Cinderella is a 1925 silent Mutt and Jeff cartoon by Film Distributors, Limited. Augustus J. Mutt is a madcap retelling of the old Cinderella story in which Jeff, not permitted to go the Charleston exhibition lead by Mutt, ends up getting his wish granted. He out-dances Mutt at the exhibition, infuriating his friend. Jeff sits next to the fireplace reading Cinderella. Mutt goes to the dance hall to show off his moves, leaving Jeff behind to tend to the fireplaces. Jeff cries because he wants to dance, too. A fairy godmother appears and transforms Jeff into a dapper gentleman. She gives him special shoes that allow him to out-dance anything. Before leaving, she warns Jeff that at midnight, all the magic will be undone.
