Locust Invasion In Princes Town

Swarms of locusts invaded Princes Town over the past week, devouring any foliage in their path. Locust invasions are an annual occurrence in Moruga - the adults feed on crops, go into the Moruga forest to lay their eggs and when the eggs hatch, the cycle begins again. However, this is the first time thousands of the flying insects have been seen in residential communities in Princes Town. Jack Bhagwandeen, a taxi driver and part time farmer of New Grant, says the locusts are feeding on any and everything in their sight.
