Macedonia: Presidential office ransacked as anti-Ivanov protest continues
A building in which Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov has offices was ransacked by hundreds of anti-government protesters in Skopje on Wednesday, during a demonstration that called for the president’s resignation.
Having been blocked by the police on their first attempt, the demonstrators returned to the office in the evening, throwing flaming objects at the building and smashing windows. People went on to burn furniture from the office and images of Ivanov during the course of the evening.
