Single Port Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

SLIC ( Strategic Laparoscopy for Improved Cosmesis) is one of the many terms used for single port laparoscopic scarless surgery emphasizing the cosmetic side of this type of laparoscopic surgery. In this clip we can see 4 different procedures on which 4 patients with a wide range of BMI ( Body Mass Index), from 18 to 34 are operated. We can see the safety, efficacy and efficiency of the single port procedure. This type of laparoscopic surgery has a better outcome regarding postoperative pain and discomfort with a faster return to work and an unsurpassable cosmetic result since there is no visible scar because the incision is placed in the umbilicus.
