The Children’s Railway Station seems abandoned at first sight only. Let us introduce the guardian spirit of Kayaran, known locally as uncle Suren. Every single day he brings his small table and chair on the station’s porch to sell drinks and snacks. He doesn’t have many customers, but the ones he does keep coming back. When the night falls, uncle Suren brings his stuff back to the storage room and leaves it there until the next morning, keeping on doing it again and again. He might be just a simple man, but he’s also a reminder that in times of great uncertainty it’s even more important for all of us to continue our daily rituals.
