Hey Elbow — Ruth (Official Live Video)

First there was “Blanca”, then came “Martin”. Now say hey to “Ruth”. Hey Elbow consists of Julia Ringdahl, vocals and guitar, Ellen Petersson, horns and electronics, and drummer Liam Amner. With a background in jazz and an ear for distortion they create weird pop music with a big sound. “Ruth” is a gigantic swelling piece with massive, choir, and howling lead vocals combined with a nearly rocklike rhythm. It combines everything we know from Hey Elbow so far; the grandiose and the intricate; the beauty and the noise. It’s the perfect takeoff for the coming album. Just as with “Blanca” and “Martin” the track comes with an official video and an official live video. Stay tuned.
