TUULETAR - Sofa Live #4 “Kalevala Rap Battle“ Kalevala is the Finnish national epic. It is a 19th-century work of epic poetry compiled by Elias Lönnrot from Karelian and Finnish oral folklore and mythology. It has inspired generations of artists and helped shape the nation’s identity. We created this VERY MODERN concept of freestyle rapping these poems in 2016. We’ve been performing this act all over the world. It’s always different, it’s always improvised, it’s ALWAYS fun! We start with a more traditional 5/4 meter and then break it into freestyle.
