Beirut residents fear Israel’s devastating strikes

Residents of Hadath, located only a few hundred metres from the southern suburbs of Beirut under constant threat of Israeli airstrikes, are living in a state of anxiety. Segheib returns to her home to cook and do laundry - and to check for any damage - before fleeing when the strikes begin once more. “The building just shakes, you just cannot stay in it, because (the strikes) are close,“ added Segheib.
