Praising a glorious forgotten age, the iron will of a warrior and the immortal beauty of nature, this album takes you on a journey through the forests of Alamannia… This is my second full-length album, and also my first one to include a range of various genres within metal, and not solely Black Metal. Fortunately, I am mature enough to not discuss or even think about the genre of my own music. Over the last year, my life has changed like never before in many aspects, and I have gained clarity. I created this album because I put most of my free time into music and writing nowadays, and even though I do not think the album is better than „Schwarzmetallwinter“, I am glad I created it. The main topic is the nature, culture and life in Alamannia, an ancient name for southern Germany and the German speaking part of Switzerland. That’s also why I covered the oldest still existing Swiss folk song, known as the Guggisbärglied. I am not a Nationalist. „Wīgiþunaraz“ is an early alamannic name for Thor which appears in an inscription on the Nordendorf I fibula dating back to the 6th/7th century. There is not much to say about the other songs, expect that I composed all the music and wrote all the lyrics myself, like always. Also, I do not promote any political ideologies or make any financial profit off my music. The cover picture was taken by myself in a forest about 30 km north from where I live, in August 2015.
