Fyodor Biryuchev - The Sun over the Bosphorus

Dear friends! I am glad to share with you the video from backstage of the studio recording of the piece «The Sun over the Bosphorus» from the upcoming album. This composition was recorded at the legendary Babajim Studio in Istanbul - a favourite place of the Turkish pianist and composer Fazil Say, is the first work from my new album «Portraits of Cities». The idea of the fifth LP is to explore the musical landscape of the megapolises visited during my tours, their culture and traditions, to express their portraits in sound - through collaboration with local musicians, using electronics and piano as my main instrument. My goal is to discover a new sound of these cities in the global world, combining antiquity and modernity. I was very impressed by Istanbul with its multinational culture, and returning here again, I created this piece in collaboration with Turkish musicians. Every city has its own soul, and the soul of Istanbul is close to me, because I was born and grew up in a mult
