Bhuna Masala is a popular North Indian dish which is made with meat. where meat is cooked in flavorful spicy masala until meat infussed with all the flavor. Here we cooked vegetarian version with soya chaap.

Ingredient Quantity
Oil 3 tbsp
Frozen soya chaap 4 no
Cumin seed 1 tsp
Bay leaves 2 no
Onion chopped 2 no
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
Tomato chopped 2 no
Salt to taste
Water as required
Coriander powder 1½ tbsp
Red Chilli powder 2 tsp
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Garam masala 1 tsp
Black pepper powder ½ tsp
Water as required
Green capsicum ½ no
Onion 1 no
Curd 3 tbsp
Whole cashew nut 5 no
Water 2 tbsp
Ginger julienne ½ inch
Green Chilli slit 2-3 no
Water ¼ cup
Fresh coriander chopped 1 tbsp
Lemon juice ¼ no
Coriander chopped for garnish
Kasuri methi for sprinkle
Method
1. Take a kadai on medium flame and heat the oil. Add cumin seeds, bay leaves, chopped onion and sauté until become golden brown in color.
2. Now take frozen soya chaap and cut it into diagonal shapes.
3. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
4. Add chopped tomatoes, salt and fry for 4-5 minutes.
5. Now sprinkle some water to it and keep stirring continuously, so that the masala does not stick to the kadai.
6. Add coriander powder, red Chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, black pepper powder and sauté for a minute.
7. Take an onion and green capsicum cut it into dice shapes.
8. Take a mixer jar and add some roasted spices, curd, whole cashew nuts, a little water and grind it to make a smooth paste. Transfer the paste into kadai and, then mix it well.
9. Now add diced onion, diced green capsicum, julienne ginger, slit green Chilli, soya chaap and some water cook well.
10. Add chopped coriander and lemon juice and mix well.
11. Now side out in a serving bowl and garnish with chopped coriander & sprinkle some kasuri methi on it.
