The Huaorani: a tribe from another century | SLICE
The Huaorani people live in the Amazon region of Ecuador in South America.
In the 1970s, intensive exploitation of Ecuador’s oil and timber reserves began to seriously disrupt their way of life within nature and forest.
Today, only about 30 Huaorani communities survive, around 2,000 people. They still try to maintain their ancestral customs.
