Stampede Trail in a day on Fatbikes

During a March coldspell,and relatively light snow storm, we road our fat bikes 40 miles in one day from 8 mile lake on the Stampede Trail to the bus and back. 4 or 5 inches of fresh powder made for less then ideal conditions but a recent cold snap made for nice ice bridges and easy crossings over the Savage and Teklanika River. Temps started around 15F and dropped to -15F by night. Great trip all in all!
