US Secretary of State visits the West Bank

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken made a surprise visit to the West Bank. His visit was to meet the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. Mr Blinken told him they play a key role in the future of Gaza. Antony Blinken had previously met Mahmoud Abbas in Jordan only three weeks ago. This was his first visit to the West Bank since the war between Israel and Hamas began.
