Russia’s Salt Cellar (1937)

Full title reads: “Russia’s Salt Cellar!“ Lake Bahkusch (sp.), Soviet Union (USSR). M/S of man driving camel and cart across shoreline of lake, foreshore is encrusted with salt. C/U of salt on bed of shallow bit of lake. Various shots of freight wagons on railway track going out over edge of lake. A large piece of industrial machinery pumps salt water out of the lake. The brine is pumped into steam powered evaporating pans. The left over salt is shovelled into wagons by workers. C/U of conveyor belt bringing up salt deposits from evaporating pans. C/U of lots of salt going into wagons. L/S of train pulling away full wagons. Note: spelling for name of lake taken from sound track - could be incorrect. Also not sure where in Soviet Union it is.
