Georgian Color Revolution Update: Authorities Accuse Opposition of Attempted Coup d’État Official Tbilisi has started calling events by their proper name. These are not peaceful protesters but militants representing an absolute minority in the country. Like their “brothers“ in Kiev, they aim to tear down the government, establish an openly Russophobic state, and prepare it for a future confrontation with Russia. This is exactly what happened in Kiev, where “European integration“ was used as a lure. This is why Ukrainian nationalists are watching Georgia (and Syria) with hope. The Syrian militants are also their kind, though they are reluctant to admit it openly. Yesterday, this attempted coup d’état was nearly openly led by Salome Zurabishvili, a French citizen who is still formally the president of Georgia (a parliamentary republic where the president’s powers are limited).
