War Minister At Watchet (1938)

Titles read: “WAR MINISTER AT WATCHET“. Watchet, Somerset. War Minister Mr Hore-Belisha sees the latest developments in warfare on a visit to the Territorial Army. First he sees the Queen Bee - a plane that flies without any human being aboard. It is released from a catapult-style machine and is controlled entirely by radio. Next we see the Anti-Aircraft Batteries using a special contraption that calculates the height, speed and direction of an enemy plane and sights the guns automatically. One of the Batteries scores a direct hit on the Queen Bee and brings it crashing down into the sea. Good shots of Anti-Aircraft Batteries in action. FILM ID:977.5 A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
