Female Condor and her chick 17 37 51 5 2 21

Condor chick joins the adult female for a little bonding out from the back of the cave. Female condors lay only one egg per nesting attempt, and they don’t always nest every year. The young depend on their parents for more than 12 months, and take 6-8 years to reach maturity. Thanks to Cam Host (US Fish and Wildlife Service) and Cornell Lab of Ornithology for the video feed. 5/2/21 17:37:51
