YOTHU YINDI - LIVE IN CONCERT - BROOME 1992

This performance dates from 5 September 1992. It features both Mandawuy Yunipingu (Vocals and 1992 Australian of the Year) and his 21 year old nephew Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunipingu (right hand guitar played left handed). Other key members are listed below. The all conquering Yothu Yindi played many dates in Australia that year. Gurrumul left the band later in the year and prior to their first overseas tour, but would return to become the most successful indigenous artist by album sales at the time of his death in 2017.
